Getting started in repair

Post by JCBone »

I'm interested in learning to repair instruments myself. Not as a profession, just a hobby. Does anybody have any resources for getting started?

Band Instrument Repairing Manual by Eric Brand. It's old and some of the stuff is dated, but there is a lot of useful info in it.

Hi :)

It's super interesting, but it does require a tiny bit of special tools though. All-around tools, and some more specific if you wanna go into slide repairs, dent removal, etc...
