Not too surprising, Elow. You were born 40 years after the heyday of Reynolds trombones!
You probably haven't seen too many 1965 Ford Mustangs or listened to the latest Elvis recordings on LP (or 45rpm!), either.

Why so remarkable? They were very popular when I was young...the Royal Opera and English National Opera both had Reynolds Contempora players. I used one for a bit in the '90's and another in the early 2000's. I held on to the last one because I love the design. A couple of years ago I gave a new student the choice of 5 or 6 trombones to buy...I was sure which one he would want...but he chose the Reynolds ! He sounds amazing on it !!

I did a concert in Buffalo a number of years ago with Trombonist Bill Lowe and his only (that`s my Daily driver) was a Reynolds just like that. He sounded fantastic
