How have I lived my life not seeing this until now???

Props to Patti LaBelle for cheerfully getting through what might possibly be one of the worst nightmares for guest musicians.

This is great. She was a monster. I loved her hair in the 80s. I heard she was "tricky" to work with.

I don't know anything about her, really. She obviously has a great voice as shown here.

It's tempting to wonder about "fault" - that it could be hers, or the bandleader's, or just a failure of communication due to a crazy schedule, or something else. As someone who has some experience doing live performance, I know that it's kind of amazing just how much can go wrong.
