Steve Shires tells me that he will start taking on trombone repairs at his home workshop in Waterbury, Vermont.
As you may know, before he started the S. E. Shires Company, Steve was involved in the early development of the Edwards trombone line. He was also integral to the development of the Greenhoe valve. Before that he was one of the best-known and most highly respected brass technicians in the country while working at Osmun Brass in the Boston area. And before that, Steve spun trumpet bells at Schilke.
Part of his time these days is spent making French horns: https://www.stephenshorns.com/ but he does have the time and inclination to work on trombones as well.
The best way to reach him is by email: [email protected] or [email protected]
